April in the Garden

We love this time of year in the garden, new life is palpable, it is an exciting time to look out of the window or venture out into your garden to explore the changes.

It is a busy time for us at Mackintosh Martin Gardening, we will be in full swing preparing the garden for the delights of the summer ahead.

Jobs we will be carrying out this month:

- Weeding and tidying beds so that the perennials have the space and ability to really shine

- Mowing lawns and sewing seeds so your lawn is beautiful come summer

- Pruning back lavender for fresh new shoots

- Turning the compost heap

- Tying and maintaining climbers so they grow in the desired way and places

- Planting hedges

- Planting summer flowering bulbs and dahlias

We have been designing several gardens for our clients in the past weeks and have really enjoyed the process of transforming spaces for them to enjoy.
